Tomson Highway to Visit KiHS

On Wednesday, October 28, 1:30 - 3:00 pm., students at KiHS will have an opportunity to meet and speak via video conference with renowned Canadian playwright, composer and pianist, Tomson Highway. Tomson Highway was born in a tent near Maria Lake, Manitoba in 1951. His family lived a nomadic lifestyle and his first language was Cree.

Tomson has published the following plays, The Rez Sisters, & Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing. He has also published the novels, Kiss of the Fur Queen and Rose, in addition to a number of children’s stories.

This visit is sure to be an entertaining, informative experience for KiHS students.
