Booshoo Everyone,

It's very hard to believe that this is my seventh year with KiHS. It is still just as exciting and new as it was when I first started and I am very honoured to be working with such a great group of staff and students. What a great way to allow students to be in their home community and earn high school credits! Imagine all the technical skills yor are learning that will stay with you for life. There is lots of potential for careers in the field of technology with the skills and interest you are gaining..

I am always amazed at what we are really accomplishing with all of your participation and commitment. My wife and I taught for five years in Keewaywin and then we went to Nova Scotia for three years. We felt the strong call to return to the great and beautiful north, so we made the long journey back again four years ago. It has been great ever since. I have been in Balmertown now for four years and getting the chance to travel and meet you in your communities is one of the highlights of this position. I look forward to visiting your community this year. I will try to bring donuts....or something.

My wife Cathy and I have four children. Lucas is the oldest in grade 7, Bethany is in grade 4, Rebecca is in grade 2, and our youngest Matthew is in senior K. We have a busy house, but we try to have fun enjoying what the area offers. We do lots of fishing, camping, ski-dooing, skiing, swimming, and will try just about anything. If you are ever in Balmertown, please try and look us up. We are easy to find.

We have a great team of staff that are here to help and support you. Please commit yourself to the program and you will do well. Have a great year!
